Boarding

Nirmala boarding House is attached to the Nirmala Higher Secondary School,Muvattupuzha.


Purpose

The purpose of this Boarding House to procide convenient and healthy accommodation to the boys of Nirmala Higher Secondary and Nirmala Public School who find it difficult to be day-scholars.It is also aimed to impart a sound religious, moral, literary and scientific education leading to the harmonious development of the child.


Boarding Authorities

As the boarding is attached to the school the Principal has direct control over the boarding.The boarding Rector and the resident members of the staff are to assist the Principal for the effective functioning of the boarding.


Admission

Admission is granted to the boys of all the classes preferably before the reopening of the School.Separate application form must be filled and submitted to the Boarding House.The boarders are expected to report to the office before 6 P.M. on the previous day of the reopening of the school after the vacations.


Discipline

For minor breaches of discipline the corrective measures will be taken. A major breach of discipline or grave misconduct, and also anyone found guilty of instigating others to acts of indiscipline may lead to expulsion. All students can approach the Principal or the Rector for any sorts of complaint. The boarding authorities are keen to provide a healthy and comfortable stay for the students.


Payment Of Fees

The boarding fees of a month can be paid without any surcharge till the end of the following month. Further delay will incur the late fee of Rs. 15 for every month for the sum of 500 each. The amount may be paid in cash or by demand drafts and not by cheques. The drafts should be made payable to the ''Rector Nirmala Boarding House Muvattupuzha". Before the boy leaves for summer vacation the boarding bill has to be settled completely. After leaving the boarding house permanently the account has to be closed within 30 days failing which the credits will be forfeited.


Fees

If a boy is withdrawn in between the school year the parents must pay two months boarding fees in lieu of it.Boarders intending to leave the boarding house after completing the academic year shall inform at least two weeks before the reopening of the school. The mess fee for every month is determined after the dividing system. No reduction is allowed except for an absence of one month with prior information. However the incident charges are to be paid for all ten months. Laundry facilities are arranged for the boarders and the expenses are included separately in the bill.

Provision is made for prompt medical care in the case of sickness. The medical expenses also have to be paid separately. Only those articles of academic necessity will be supplied from the Boarding House; ego pen, pencil, books etc. They will be charged in the monthly bill. Articles of other uses have to be supplied by the guardian. The monthly tuition fees for the school and the special tuition fees (if any) will be included in the monthly bill.
