Nirmala Higher Secondary School is an English medium recognised unaided high school for boys and girls (Std. V-XII) following the Kerala syllabus and preparing the students for the SSLC and Higher Secondary Examinations. It is owned and managed by the Diocese of Kothamangalam and as such it is a Christian Minority School which is located in Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam, Kerala in India.It was started on August 7,1961 with the paternal blessings of late Mar Mathew Pothanamuzhi, the first Bishop of Kothamangalam,under the patronage of late Sri K.M. George ,former Minister ,Govt. of Kerala and the able stewardship of late Rev.Fr. George Kunnamkottu, former headmaster.It has now the reputation of being one of the first rate English Medium Schools in the state with excellent academic results and marvellous achievements in various co-curricular activities .It is a Residential School with separate boarding house for boys and girls.
Admission is open to all good and earnest pupils without any distinction of caste or creed. The school aims at quality education based on the all round development of the scholars, through the inculcation of intellectual ,moral,social and spiritual values so that the children grow up as good children of God and responsible citizens of our nation
